Over 900 expected at MRCA banquest to celebrate Lunar New Year
THE Malaysia Retail Chain Association ( MRCA ) will be holding its Chinese New Year Banquet 2019 on Feb 28 at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa.
Themed “The Peak Moment”, more than 900 members and guests are expected to attent the event to celebrate the Lunar New Year and will feature a lion dance and live band.
The organising chairmen are MRCA vice-president Datuk Liew Bin and council member Jeff Yong.
Liew, who is also the founder and chief executive officer of Brilliant Merchandising Sdn Bhd, said it was customary to celebrate the joyous occasion together and usher in good fortune.
Yong, who is also Kimma Sdn Bhd director said, “ We want to bring members and esteemed guests closer together through this auspicious event.”
There will also be activities to raise funds for the MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation.
The MRCA is an association for leading retail chain operators and franchisors in Malaysia.
The association has more than 480 members, covering more than 30,000 outlets throughout Malaysia, helping to provide 150,000 job opportunities across the country.
MRCA was established in 1992 to assist members in their store expansion and promote growth in the retail chain and franchise industry.
